Species of common interest

We give value to sustainability.

Cicogna2000 is not funded by external projects but it is financed through the fundraising organised by the supporting voluntary associations. The intent is not to produce a system of quality certification.

The aim is simply to provide a touristic portal to promote the local entities and institutions respecting the environment and applying efficiently the sustainability principles with particular interest for the habitat restoration, ecosystem conservation, fauna and flora preservation.

The realization of www.cicogna.info is part of the actions promoted by the incentives P.O. FESR Sicilia 2007/2013, asse III Operational Objective 3.1.3, Intervention Line 3.

Natura 2000

“Natura 2000 - Europe's nature for you. This site is part of the European Natura 2000 Network. It has been designated because it hosts some of Europe's most threatened species and habitats. All 27 countries of the EU are working together through the Natura 2000 network to safeguard Europe's rich and diverse natural heritage for the benefit of all”
